Friday, March 12, 2010 HALF DAY CITY TOUR - 3 Hours
Pick up at 09:00 hours from the Registration desk of the Hilton Hotel
Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city of Argentina, currently the second-largest metropolitan area in South America. A half day tour of the city will begin at the Hilton Hotel and be the starting point for the discovery of Avenida 9 de Julio which is one of the widest avenues in the World, its name honors Argentina's Independence Day and leads to the Obelisk, one of the city's iconic landmarks and a venue for various cultural activities and other events.
Guests will be amazed at the pace of commercial and the financial center and then continue on to the Plaza de Mayo, which forms the old city where the Cathedral, in neoclassical style, the Government House, better known as The Pink and which sits the executive power of the republic, and the old Cabildo, mute character in the history of the city.
The neighborhoods of San Telmo and "La Boca are perhaps the most typical of the city. In the first, the oldest in the city, is where it concentrates a lot of antique shops and art galleries and takes place the traditional Antique Fair of San Pedro Telmo (Sundays only). The La Boca neighborhood is located south of the city and is most picturesque with a history of Italian immigration and the tango. The neighborhood still retains as Caminito Street, now converted into a pedestrian mall where you can see, in detail, the typical construction made of wood and corrugated iron. The walk will continue along the north where the Palermo Woods, a real green lung of the city. And finally, from the elegant and cozy neighborhood of Recoleta, return to our hotel.

HALF DAY TIGRE & DELTA OF PARANA RIVER - 5 Hours

This tour will allow guests to explore the northern part of the Buenos Aires and it's suburbs extending to both sides of the Avenida del Libertador and Vicente Lopez, Olivos, Martinez, San Fernando. At Puerto del Tigre, guests shall embark on a comfortable but typical boat ride which should take an hour and make the pin five of the major rivers that form the first part of the Paraná Delta. Experience the unique life of the islanders, their homes, schools, churches and the many "breaks" and chosen by many Buenos Aires club who want to enjoy nature within walking distance of the city.
