Getting to the Hotel
There are 2 airports in Shanghai: The International Pudong airport and the Domestic Hongqiao airport.

Those who will be flying directly will most likely fly to Pudong airport which is closer to the Congress Venue. There are 3 ways to get from Pudong airport to the hotel:

1. Taxi: Travel to the hotel takes about 25-30 minutes during off peak hours. Peak hours are usually 07:00- 09:00 and 16:30- 18:30. During peak hours it should not take more than 1 hour. Price range is between 100- 150 RMB one way.
2. Maglev Train: This is a bullet train that travels 400 km/h. It travels from the airport to the Longyang station (there is only 1 station) in 8 minutes. From the station it takes another 5 minutes by taxi to reach the hotel. Price for a one way ticket is 50 RMB.
3. Metro line 2: There is a metro line from the airport that will take you close to the hotel. You will then need to change to line 7 to reach the hotel. In total this can take you about 40 minutes and the price is around 5-10 RMB.

If you fly through another destination within China (such as via Beijing) you might land at Hongqiao airport, which is on the other side of the Shanghai. Honggiao airport is approximately an hour drive during off peak hours and between 1.5-2 hours drive during peak hours.

Entry Visa to China
Entry Visa is a credential that allows people to enter and leave a country or transit across its borders. All foreign visitors traveling to mainland China, whether for business or pleasure, require a visa. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the duration of your intended stay. Visas are issued through Chinese embassies and consulates overseas.
Please note that the CODHy Congress will not be responsible for supplying official visa letters from Chinese municipalities.*

Public Health
Visitors entering China are required to complete a health declaration form. Check with your local doctor or health care professional about vaccination requirements before you plan your trip. The organizer recommends you drink only boiled or bottled water during your stay in Shanghai.*
*ComtecMed will not be responsible for any cancellations or delays caused by authorities due to a lack of Visa or other required documentation.

Currency
The unit of money in China is known as Renminbi (RMB). The unit of money itself is called the Yuan (CNY). The abbreviation of Renminbi is RMB or CNY with its symbol of ¥.

China is a cash-dominated country. Places like major hotels, shopping malls, etc, do accept credit cards/ traveler's checks, but most other places may have difficulty handling credit card/TC payment. Bank of China ATMs can be easily found throughout; therefore, you can draw RMB with your credit cards.

The Bank of China and most hotels can cash traveler’s checks issued by any foreign bank or financial institution. Foreign currency and traveler's checks are not regularly used in China, so you will need to exchange them for Chinese Yuan at the Bank of China or the banks' cash centers at major airports and hotels.

Drinking Water
The tap water in China is undrinkable. Drinking water is available from water dispensers and mineral water can be purchased in supermarkets. Mineral water prices range from RMB 1 to RMB 10. The recommended brands of mineral water in China are Wa Ha Ha, Nestle and Nongfu Spring.
